It’s right in this regulation. Problem is most just wont read it.
The regulation require’s the vehicle manufacturer to select tires and gives them a minimum starting value. They also require the vehicle manufacturer to set the recommended tire pressures for the tires they choose to install on each vehicle. That recommended tire pressure also sets the minimum load capacity requirement.
Tire manufacturers will not knowingly recommend tire pressures or load capacities less than what has been certified by vehicle manufacturers.
