Id rather go a size smaller than a size bigger. Its plenty tall enough as is.

The ST235/80-16 E is around 30.7" tall.
Someone mentioned the LT245/75-16 E at 3042 lbs and is 30.4" tall which is the most popular for staying with the OEM diameter tire. Check the tires overall width for wheel well clearances also.
There is a shorter diameter LT225/75-16 E but its capacity is only 2680 lbs.
I wouldn't mess with any ST tire brand if your wanting to get away from ST tire issues.
