I would suggest that you look the suspension over. You might find that you are just compressing down on the overload and not the bottom. If true bottom the stops will show the contact area.
i just hate those big woop de doos, especially on and off of some bridges. A tell tale sign that a big one is coming up are the black marks on the highway.
