- americanrascalExplorerWent from a class A, then to a Travel Trailer to a 5th wheel about 6 month ago. As compared to the Travel Trailer and class A it is very very easy- especially with power landing gear. We have found it to be so much faster and easier, and so much easier to tow (sway is no longer an issue) .
With the old trailer it always took at least 2 of us to make the connection and never less than 20 minutes and now I can do it all myself in about 3 minutes
The process is very straight forward. Watch the video's and it will give you an idea. After 2-3 times hooking up it becomes second nature.
I especially like the ability to hook up so quickly in foul weather as compared to the old TT and when we used to have to hook up a dingy with our old class a.
The only thing I could advise is to think it all through (short check list is a good idea at first) and make sure you pay close attention to the details of the steps to make sure you have a good connection. When I get to fast I get sloppy, so I've learned to slow down and make sure I got it all together safely.
(Edited for typo) - Scott_85ExplorerThey are pretty easy, there are a few youtube videos that show you.
