No permanent damage to the engine luckily. Anyway, sorry for the long story, but maybe it will save some one else from doing something like that! Always make sure you have the right fuel going in to your vehicle!:o

I pulled into a BP station in Mich a few years back Used green pump handle. Only pumped about 3 gals when caughtt mistake. Additives added to fuel along with fill up of diesel prevented having to drain tank. I try to double check each time now. Also, have tried to avoid BP ever since. With green or yellow being pretty standard for diesel, it seems they would help people avoid this kind of mistake.
