Those sound like the brochure weights, but the scale said around 6,000 even when empty (total weights). The brochure lists those weights as "without options", and then lists most everything in the trailer as an option so I guess they're not totally a fraud.
Good eye on the tires, yes those were not the normal tires I used. Goodyear triple tread speed rated tires were the normal ones and they were significantly better tracking than those high profile ones on the winter rims. I had my reasons that day to be experimenting.....
