Ok, an even more basic question:
Pricing varies widely on the same models from dealer to dealer, with the high volume dealers being literally 10s of thousands of dollars cheaper for the same rig vs smaller dealers. Unless you're fortunate enough to live close to a high volume dealer, how do you get your small local one to be price competitive so you can have a one stop shopping and warranty experience with them?
And then it seems that some models are just plain not available in geographic regions. Grand Designs and KZ are scarcer than hen fingers around these parts. Do people buy sight unseen and then pay to have them trucked in?
My hybrid trailer experience was a much less risky proposition when it comes to the complexity and cost of a FW. I didn't buy local to save a few thou, and when I thought I actually had a warranty issue, the local Forest River dealer was less than accommodating and scheduled me months out. Luckily the problem fixed itself. I can't imagine a FW purchase like that would be any different.
