Newbies seeking guidance! Where to start????

We bought our 1st 5th wheel in Jan. We went used (2003) and only 29'long, had only been used a few times and looks like new inside and out. It weights in at 9400. We pull with a 2011 Ford F250 4X4 HD. We wanted to go shorter and lighter so we could get better fuel mileage and fit into the forest areas we like to hang out in, and less work for the truck. We do have 2 slides, which really make a big difference in space. We do plan to full-time in it for 3-5 years starting in 2014. I see all these 1/2 ton trucks pulling 35-40' 5th wheels and I sure wouldn't do it with a 1/2 ton. We looked for almost 2 years before finding the 5th wheel we both loved....oh, and we did start out with a 1 ton Dually. We had it all planned out, then lost the head gasket and it was too much $$$ to repair. So went newer and decided the 3/4 would do well with our smaller RV. Take your time and look awhile.....then decide. We can't wait to go full-time, so much to see out there! Good luck!! :)
