The Super Duty has a very good factory transmission cooling package right from the factory. I wouldn't do anything to the stock configuration (keep the factory pan, keep the factory cooler) ... it will handle pretty much any trailer you can tow with the truck.
X2: My 2012 F350 SRW pulls a 16K trailer. I have pulled coast to coast and border to border at 30K miles so far and the engine and tranny temp gauges have never moved from the middle. Also the truck has a gauge mode to let you monitor the engine oil and transmission oil temps so you can determine if the oil gets too hot. My engine and transmission oils are always well within the manufacturers specs for standard diesel grade non-synthetic oil. I would go to synthetic oil before installing an after market oil cooler if the temps got near max for standard grade oils.
