Noisy slide out

I have a noisy slide out. It is electric gear driven (not a Schwintek). I understand that the only lube to be used should be dry. I purchased graphite lube at Home Depot but it doesn't seem very effective. I lubed both sets of rails and gears. I think it decreased the noise somewhat but not as much as expected.
I'm now looking at trying either Camco Slide Lube or Protect-All Slide-out Dry Lube.
Does anyone have experience with these products?
  • You could also try the dry silicone spray. You can typically find it in the garage door section of your favoring home improvement store.
  • I use Slip Plate graphite spray lube on mine. Seems to reduce noise and effort.
I suspect those other products are basically the same thing.
  • No, because my slides make noise from the rubber sliding, not the gears. It's a pretty loud hideous noise that I've learned to live with because it doesn't last very long.
  • My one slide does a little moaning as well so I will follow along and see what folks recommend. thx
