Could be said a little nicer. Caulking and seals should be checked regularly, at least yearly. But yes, once the warranty expires it is all on the owner unless you can prove a manufacturing defect. Then you MIGHT get some relief. But a leak after only 3-4 yrs is, in my opinion, a sign of poor construction. Our SOB (some other brand) is 8 years old and never a leak of any kind.
My point exactly. There were several signs of poor construction and design. The outside kitchen door supports came loose as soon as we got home with it. The caulking inside the outside kitchen was full of sawdust and screws. The supports under the bed came loose. In hindsight I wish I had taken it back. Instead of hauling it 180 miles back to the dealer, I just fixed the small things myself, probably a big mistake.
Sawdust is not a sign of poor construction, it IS a sign of lousy PDI by your selling dealer. The rest of the stuff you posted about IMHO should have also been cought if the selling dealer had done a thorough PDI, which obviously they did not.
Water damage after 4 years is unavoidable if you as a responsible owner did not take proper care of your RV now, if it leaked on day one, thats another story. But sadly from your posts I feel you have a bad taste in your mouth over several things unrelated to each other squeing your rational thinking. For instance, why after 4 years are you still griping about a lousy PDI done by the dealer and in the next sentence complaining about water leaks that might be caused by lack of maintenance?
