not working when plugged into campground cable connection.

Test procedure: Connect a coax from the TV to the cable pedestal and scan the channels. Now connect the coax to various coax ends (use a barrel connector) in the rig until you isolate the problem. This includes the booster, A/V box, splitters, etc as your rig is configured.
