There are definitely units with better insulation than others, but you haven't said what type of weather situations you will be facing. Frame problems happen for many reasons and not always a manufacturing problem, plus tow people with the same units can have totally different issues. Generator prep is a good idea at least in my opinion The choice of generator is another area where you will get a lot of opinions as to brand, size, location to put it. All I can say is go out find what you like and then go and explore the great life of the RVer.

X2, The Most Important feature of any RV is The Floor Plan! You will be using the RV adapting it to your lifestyle! You can change and upgrade many things after you purchase your RV, Generator for one, but you can not change the floor plan! What may seem as a small inconvenience now can turn into a major problem down the road! Do you cook? If so does it have ample counter space, the type of stove, oven, microwave that you like, can you easily wash up and get things put away? There are many aspects to RV living, even if you only use it on weekends, and most of those depend on you and your lifestyle! That is why there is no simple check sheet that you can use to determine the "best RV" for you! Good luck, it takes time and research from you along with looking at many units to determine what fits your needs and pocket book!
