- agesilausExplorer IIIThe section we drove on in Louisiana was awful, but then all roads we drove on in that state are terrible. They don't seem to spend much on road repair and maintenance.
- ChiefcpoExplorerBest thing about going 98 to 90 is you will have the best places to eat. yes some of the roads are bad but take it slow and enjoy the trip and FOO! Did I mention great food! Especially at the dumpy bar/grills.
- Roger10378Explorer II90 is mostly 4 lane thru Mississippi. Lots of towns with lots of stopping and starting. It goes right along the beach in many places so sometimes there is a lot of sand on it so take it easy.
- HelipilotExplorerNot to hijack the thread, but anyone been on I-10 lately. Going down next week from Little Rock to Orlando area and looking for a smooth trip. I-10 used to be terrible between Louisiana and Texas.
- spud1957ExplorerMaybe you would get better responses in the "Roads and Routes" section?
Just sayin' - Bob_VaughnExplorerLast April we went across 10 from Fl. and in La. it was so rough it ripped the hitch off the back of our 5th wheel....We had an 80 lb load on a 3000 lb hitch.....it made the truck and camper vibrate no matter how slow or fast you drove. It was as bad as the Alaska Hwy after a bad winter.....

We were westbound across Louisiana on I-10 after picking up our new 5th wheel in Knoxville, TN last May. One of the bridge approaches was so unlevel that I think we had the truck and RV airborne between Baton Rouge and Lafayette!! Louisiana has done quite a bit of work on stretches of I-10, but whoever is responsible for the bridge approaches must be a political appointee, because he's otherwise totally unqualified for the job.
