Well we are still working so we do suffer from this also. We are lucky enough to live in the NW where four season camping is easy to do.
We keep the 5er stocked year round and can be gone at a drop of the hat!
Our current record is decided Friday am to go out for the weekend, I got out of work at 2:15 pm DW had the necessary food loaded in the transport tub, I got home aired the TV tires, installed the hitch, and headed to the storage yard. Fired up refer (cool day) loaded food in reefer, hooked up doubled checked all connections, and headed out. Left the storage yard at 3:30 pm. It is about 8 to 10 miles from work to storage yard, and home is about half way.
