Odor From Sink in Bathroom

Hi,
A problem has arisen regarding a bad odor apparently coming from the bathroom sink. The black and grey tanks have been thoroughly flushed and drained during winterization and the P-trap is full of antifreeze. There is still a bad odor seemingly coming from the sink. I would appreciate any suggestions on what to investigate. Thanks in advance!

I may be a little old, but I sure am broke!
  • Inside sink cabinet on sink drain line after the 'P' trap is an 'air admittance valve'. Hand tightened into a stub pipe...allows air into drain line when dumping waste tank so 'P' traps don;t get sucked dry'

When they don't close.....stink from waste tank gets inside rv

They use cheap rubber flapper held closed by a tang.it stretches and flapper dosen't get pulled closed

    Any hardware store for replacement
  • I had the same issue with our kitchen sink, changed the air admittance valve, no more odor

  • Another common cause of this is having an RV which is plumbed for a washer but none is installed. Flush out the lines to the washer and your smell will disappear.
