Oil question?
I have a Guardian by Generac generator and was wondering if any type of oil will work or if I need generator specific oil (if there is such a thing)? It calls for either 10w-30 or 5w-30. Thanks.

- I use generic 5w 30 full synthetic in my generic big generator at the s&b. That, after doing some research on the inter webs. If you have your manual available (don't ask), use what it recommends.
- My Onan suggests oil depending on temp range of use. I use 14W-40 since I use the generator in the winter. You should have a chart in your manual.
- My Honda and Onan generators both call for motor oil.
