I would echo what Old Duck said about the cabinets over the peninsula. Really closes up the trailer a lot. I don't believe I would like that a lot. Perhaps a plan with an island and no overhead cabinets would work better for you. Also, what's wrong with rubbing butts or other things with your significant other? After 48+ years, 21 of them camping, it's still fun once in a while. We have a side kitchen in our FW, not real fancy, and the pantry and fridge are to the side of the kitchen area so no problem getting drinks, accessories for the table, etc. Also, plenty of room for me to help with the dishes should she ask. We do share cooking most of the time and don't have a problem.
