Really would not want to drive or tow with any tire that has 70 or 100K miles.

Larry, I agree with you!!! Ha! Ha!
I just put new tires on the truck. The Michelin LTX M$S' still had tread left, however they were 6 years old and had 50K on them. They were getting slippery when it was raining, and we are doing a wine trip to Eastern Washington the end of the month to Yakima Indian Nation RV, Desert Aire and other points in your side of the state.
Daddy also taught me to have good tires.
That is why I ran XPS Ribs on the trailer for 6.5 years and 40K+ miles and now have Duravis R250's. The truck got Duravis R500HD commercial grade tires. This R500HD would be a good choice for a poly carcass trailer tire. The LT245/75R16 weighs in at 47 pounds, and probably the most of all the LT245/75R16E's available. The LT265 on the truck weigh 55 pounds. This tires have a nice closed outer rib that would be good for trailer use. Truck is a freeway queen anyway!

You are saying this tire is not a steel tire? I like this tread and would buy it next time if there is a next time for us. New G-614's going on next June on the alpenlite, Age only not tire wear.
Have a good trip.
