one night stops

Just wondering when traveling cross-country and stopping in a campground for just one night if people leave their 5th wheel attached to the truck. Is it advisable? Or are there possible issues? Only thing I can think of is it may not be the most level.
Would certainly drop rear landing gear for stability.

  • If stopping for one night, I usually do NOT and unhitch, and do NOT put the rear stabilizers down because I might forget to raise them before pulling away. (We can put up with it for one night.) My leveling system consists of 2x12 boards, and I will put one or two under one side if side-to-side leveling is needed.
  • We do it if we plan on leaving first thing next morning. True it may not be completely level but we haven't had any problems doing it. And it makes it easier to leave.
