Open Range Fifth Wheels
I,m planning to downsize, can anyone comment on the quality of Open Range fifth wheels? I,m interested in the open range lf297rls. Thanks, Bruce

Our 2016 OR LF297RLS is our 5th RV and the one we've been happiest with. We liked the weight, and the floor plan.
Early years of this model had slide gearbox failures, frustrating but promptly repaired under warranty by OR. We replaced two gearboxes in the first 6 months. In our year and a half and 30,000 miles since OR changed to hardened gear material we've carried a spare, and had no further trouble.
Other than the slide gearbox issue we've had no quality or maintenance issues. The fridge, stovetop, air conditioners work much better than those in our Winnebago.
