Hi everyone. I'm looking for opinions on two different campers. We're at the RV show in Hershey and I have found two contenders but I need real life answers not salesmen BS. I need to know from current or previous owners of Montanas and Open Ranges do you like your campers? Did the companies stand behind their warrantees and would you buy that brand again? The Montana is a new raised rear living room. The Open Range has the rear kitchen. Thanks for the help!

Well I have owned a 2003, 2006, 2010 and now a 2015 Montana and have had no problems with any of them. I traded the 2010 for a 2013 Heartland Landmark and it was a POS something stayed tore up on it all the time. The 2015 Montana Legacy is really a nice 5th wheel. I have the level system and all bells and whistles.Montana would get my VOTE

Open Range for us...love this 5th wheel. As for warranty, we bought it used (4 yrs old). It had been used ONCE by an older gentleman that figured out it was too much for him. It sat for 4 yrs -- waiting for us. :B. The only thing that wasn't new on it was the warranty, but we don't NEED a warranty with it.....it's not had ONE thing wrong with it!!!!! :)

We have a 2013 Open Range and are very happy the quality and company support. The two year warranty is a plus also, although we only had a couple of minor claims. Do check out www.openrangeowners.com and you're get unvarnished opinions about the brand.

Both are good rigs. Pick the one you like and then wait 1 year to buy it used. Will save you about $15000. If you buy one 2-3 years old you will save $5000-$10000 more. They are all boxes on wheels put together with staples and screws. No real difference between a 2016 and a 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011........
