Thank you. I've been looking through that forum and it has been helpful so far. There are a TON of people happy with the brand which really helps my decision. I'm just doing my due diligence to make sure I go into it eyes open.
What model and year is yours? Have you been in it for long?
We ordered our Open Range Fifth Wheel in Feb. 2011 and took delivery in early April 2011. Ours is a 2012 345RLS. We've used it a lot over the last almost five years, living in it four months at a time since we took delivery during the winter in Florida. We've towed it all over the country and have about 40,000 miles on it! Mostly what we've done is considered preventative maintenance and care, which is required regardless of brand or model. If you can't keep an eye on things and stay on top of simple repairs and/or get bigger ones taken care of, then you really shouldn't be in the RV market, imo.
We've been very pleased with the quality of our trailer and the support given to us by the factory! They back up what they sell for sure! We've toured the factory 3 times and have been impressed every time while attending the forum "Coming Home Rally" in Shipshewana the last three years, not to mention the amazing tech support during the rallies.
We spent almost a year shopping, looking, and researching before we settled on our Open Range. You do get a lot of bang for the buck!
