We were never going to own a fifth wheel, guess what we now have. The truck with the new fw is within 200 lbs of GVWR when loaded. The fw came with a Reese Revolution so didn't need a slider and the Reese hitch added about 100 lbs. The truck payload is 2100. I'm not even close on Rear axle rating and knew that would be the case. You need to look at trailers with just the pin weight in mind or you will be over the truck GVWR. We really like our Flagstaff and picked it for the pin wt. We also considered the Flagstaff 8528RKWS with a rear kitchen -even less pin wt.
