I just put Bridgestone R250 Duravis LT 235/85 R16's on a 13,950 GVWR 5th wheel with a pin weight of over 2500 lbs with 6,000 lb axles. I narrowed my choices down to Firestone Transforce HT's, Bridgestone R250 Duravis and Michelin Ribs. At the time I had to make a decision the Bridgestone tires were on sale and not much more than $100 more than the Firestones. I paid $919 total including tax for 4 tires including moiunting, balance new stems, etc. The Michelin Ribs would have been another $400. My view is the Bridgestones were worth the $100 extra over the Firestone HT's and close to the reputation of the Michelin Ribs with a $400 savings. Only have about 2,000 miles on the new Bridgstones so far but they sure are a better looking and much heavier than the ST tires that were on the 5th wheel originally. I went through two sets of ST tires in 6 1/2 years each set having less than 10,000 miles on them. Tread seperation issues. Will never own another ST tire on a 5th wheel.
