This sounds like one of the clone cars that have come out of China for years, all were POS's. Poor metalurgy, poor welds, undersized frame/suspension parts prone to breakage.
They come and go under different names.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. It's a street legal, flat towable, 5 speed manual transmission vehicle. It looks like a Jeep want-a-b.
