Organizing your "pass through"

I use plastic bins an tubs, it seams to work the best for me.

Plastic bins on driver side and large patio things on door side (chairs, mat, BBQ)

Marked, color coded or clear stackable bins and tubs for us too. They keep everything accessible and organized and don't add a lot of extra weight.

The best thing we did was purchase a Mor Ryde sliding tray...it is the full width of the cargo door and pulls out 60% on either side...works great!

I'm actually thinking about hanging a wire shelf (closet shelf) about 10-15 inches from the top....for chairs, pie irons, fishing poles, laying the bags holding hoses etc, and that other misc stuff that gets buried. Below will be plastic containers I think..... In my outback, I only had a very small pass through in the back, and I got so much stuff in there just by splitting the height in half and using the otherwise unused top space for chairs and stuff.

Same here. Several different sizes depending on what is in each. Also use Large labels to identify contents (very generic).

I put all my utility attachments on the drivers side, and everything else (long stuff)is accessed from the other side. My front access area is where I store milk crates (stacked 2 high).

I made some rough (AKA "poorly constructed") shelves in order to better utilize the vertical space. One shelf was designed specifically to fit our 4 folding chairs. The other two were simply designed to fit the remaining areas. On the street side top level I keep the electrical cord and my water hoses coiled. Below them are two plastic tubs that hold my sewer equipment. I keep the things I use the most in the curb side space, since it is much larger and handier to get into. Most of what I carry in there does not fit well into plastic tubs, so things are just positioned on or under one of the shelves. For the smaller items I put in two plastic drawer units (stacked). Since the storage area under the overhang is harder to get into I keep the less-frequently-used items in there, like bottle jacks, tools and leveling boards.
