Our gross neighbor left bugs behind, now we have them. HELP!

Our neighbor was a disgusting pig and has finally moved leaving roaches behind. There's no other spot to move to and other rv parks around us are full. I am assuming this rv park doesn't spray for pests. There are spiders, crickets, and flying insects everywhere. These roaches are now in our rv and I am doing everything I know to do to kill them and keep them out. They only seem to like to hang out around the sink. I make sure that trash is tied, that all food is either discarded or put away, and that's still not doing the trick. I see them in the sink sometimes and I wonder if they're coming up through the grey tank somehow. Anyway it's driving me insane. Not to mention that it really, really grosses me out to be around bugs. I would even say it's a borderline phobia. Anyone have any tips or products we can use. We did buy this thing that you spray the grass and it's supposed to get rid of bugs. So we may have that part covered, I just need to know how to get them out of the camper. Oh, we have also used that combat gel, which isn't really doing any good because they don't seem to be going in the places where it's laid. Maybe they are, and it's not working I don't know. But whatever is going on, wherever they are coming from, they're still getting in. Thanks for any help or advice. We are not gross people, I am a neat freak, but this is making me feel dirty and disgusting.

  • Thank yall. Unfortunately we do have pets so we can't use boric acid. We were thinking about using the bug bombs on Thanksgiving because we won't be home and we are taking our dogs with us. I swear sometimes I wish parks inspected people's homes every once in a while. I mean this is gross. I wouldn't say we're infested. I've only seen probably about 20 roaches. But where you see that many even spread over a week There's sure to be a lot more somewhere. I just went and bought some totes from Dollar General to put everything like my apples and other perishables that I keep it out into. I know this probably seems stupid to a lot of people, but it's a bug touches something like my Apples I'm not going to eat it. I am taking Methotrexate and Humira and my immune system is severely compromised right now. So I don't need anything that carries any kind of disease around me.
  • Wow and we thought we had problems with mice !! Yours is MUCH worse We have heard the Boric Acid thing mentioned really does work if you have to use the coach. If push comes to shove and you don't have to use it I would do what both previous members suggested... Bug Bomb and Boric Acid. Good Luck with your problems!!Let us know how you make out.
  • Open all the cabinets, cover all the food, put your clothes in the tow vehicle, cover your bedding with a plastic painters cloth and set off one bug bomb. Leave the coach and wait a few hours. Air the coach out.
  • If you don't have pets, sprinkle some boric acid around to where you are seeing them. (I would probably spread it around every opening I could find, including the sink). Let it sit for at least 2-3 days, a week would be much better, then vacuum it up and wipe everything away.

It may take a few weeks, but it WILL get rid of spiders, ants, roaches and other crawling insects. It will not do anything for flying ones.

We rented a house when we were in college and it was INFESTED with roaches. If you went to the kitchen at night and turned on the light, you could hear them scatter. It was gross! An agriculture professor told us about this trick and it worked miraculously.
