I didn't want to give up a lot of room in my basements but still wanted a television available outside. Had a newer 20" LCD from when we sold the house. Used a swing arm mount and mounted it in far enough so that when we swing the TV out for viewing it is still partially inside the basement. On our unit all the cable/sat/electrical connections were already in the basement area.
The install took about 15 minutes. When we travel the 20" LCD simply folds back against the wall.
Even though it is not a huge screen, we are usually sitting under the awning within 6 feet or so from the basement door anyway, so it really is big enough for us.
