Outdoor Televisions

Has anyone added an outdoor TV, that is Television not tow truck, too their rig? DW wants to add one, and I do not know which would be best for veiwing outdoors, LCD or Plasma? Or is there another option? Input and comments appreciated!

  • Jw of four conners, I guess then that the LCD does afford reasonably good veiwing?
  • We went with this:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DH5FS3Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1416178685&sr=8-1π=AC_SY200_QL40#
And a nice Bluetooth player around $60.

  • Just a couple thoughts..LED sets use less power and weigh less (easier to move around). Also if dry camp is desirable, consider a 12volt version like Jensen.

What we do is use our 22-inch TV sitting on a table under the patio awning. We always bring along two CABLE TV cables and tee them on the pedestal CABLE TV conenction using a two-port transformer. One RG cable connects to the CABLE TV port on the trailer and the second RG cable gets throwed under the trailer. Here we can connect up to the 22-inch TV sitting outside or maybe just inside your open storage bay door.

Works good for us doing it this way and always makes us put up the TV when want to leave the area unattended...

Understand what you want for a "Fifth Wheel".....but
you might try a search on the Class A Motor Home forum, as some of the up-scale MHs come with that as an option/std equipment.....
and what goes around comes around ("gotta have it") to the ones that don't have it...;)

  • Added an LCD that swings out in the storage area and find it nice to sit outside in good weather to watch it. Depending on sun, you may need a way to shade it for better viewing.
