If someone has a 12,000lb axle weight 5'er and rolls one tire up on a Trailer Aid then 6000lbs of 5'er are sitting on 1/2 of the axle. That axle could easily be a 6000lb axle. So you have 6000lbs resting on a 3000lb spindle and axle tube. Maybe I'm over reacting but it would make me nervous that I could possibly tweek that end of the axle. Probably not going to happen even so using a bottle jack under the spring perch and only lifting the needed tire off the ground, no more than 2" or so, which is about the same as bump in the road sure seems easier on things.
I guess you have never pulled over a curb and one tire is left hanging???????
Oh don't forget the tire is being overloaded!
It is about the safes/easiest way to change a tire or do service work. My RV is 19K and it works great!
