If your 5'er is level front to back when hitched up the it's up to you if you want to lower the front landing gear. Mine's close to level so I drop the fronts for an overnighter. I also drop the rear stabs with a cordless. Only takes a 1-2 mins. On the side to side level, again if it's close I go with it. If not I'll throw a block under a tire, but I won't get crazy with side to side, just get it close. I leave it hooked up, but do unplug the 7 way cord. If I'm on a multiple night trip I won't hook up the sewer as I will dump it when I get to where I'm going. It's never really just a NASCAR pit stop thing.
