We spent the last two summers driving all over the West. We had many overnight stops. We generally would drive about 400-500 miles a day. We were able to predict where we would be at a certain time for our stop. So the wife would look on the internet for campgrounds in the area that were easy on, easy off the freeway. We were able to find great campgrounds every time. We never unhooked, always found large pull thrus. The prices generally were under $35 for full hookups. We thought that the price was well worth it compared to staying at WallyWorlds. Most of the time, the campgrounds also had decent swimming pools, which made for a refreshing end to a long day on the road. Good luck and happy trails.
