I didn't think much about it when we did it,but we parked our new FW hooked up in front of our home the first night we brought it home from the dealer. It was late and we didn't want to try to park it at the storage facility when it was dark.
We live in a very nice and quite residential area and as far as I know no one called the police.
Of course,each area is different,but that's our experience doing it once.
