Hi everyone. I'm new to Rv's and wanted to know if its a nightmare dealing with bondocking a fifth wheel? im planning on like a 19-21 ft one, nothing too big, and just a v6 manual tranny pickup to tow it....im hoping anyone here can point me some info on what its like parking on a street with it? also, can i deattach it from my truck and park it alone somewhere? I've camped in Vans before and got away pretty well with always parking it for free...but, with an RV, i feel I'll be harrassed more by cops.
"Boondocking" to most of us is you are leaving the city and heading out into the mountains, forest, along the river, a lake or something to that affect....Boondocking, I don't believe, means pulling your RV onto someone's street and parking it there for the night.
Sounds more like a homeless thing. Sounds like your wanting a free ride...heck, join the military...they'll "free ride" you to just about anywhere in the world:B
