Paying $35-$50 a night for a private CG campsite, you should expect 50 amp service. We're retired and far from cheap and will pay the freight charged for the cg/site we desire. However, you'll find Ma & Pa & their 3 kids camping in an average 26' TT not willing to pay $35-$50 a night very often. Example: Michigan State Parks where we live has about 100 CG's and the rates go like this: Dry or basic as in tent or popup type - $16-$18. 30 amp - $19-$27. 50 amp - $29-$31. A couple CG's with full hookups and 50 amp $33. Prices vary according to where the CG is and it's popularity. Lower Peninsula on Lake Michigan or Lake Huron is the highest due to popularity and those in the Upper Peninsula are the cheapest.
We use COE CG's fairly often and have been in many that have several loops and the loops have different daily rates. Some loops are best for or cater to tents and are the cheapest in the CG and will have no electric hookups to as much as 30 amps and usually water. Yes, small RV's stay in them also. Another other loop will have water and 50 amp and a larger site and a few CG's could have sewer depending on where the COE park is but sewer is not the norm. This loop has a much higher daily rate so you are paying extra for the 50 amp service whether you realize it or not.
No, I'm not going to attempt to list all these various CG's as you can simply buy the various books, Trailer Life, Woodalls, COE, NF, SF, SP, NP, etc just like we do and they give the facts about each CG and many give the daily rates also. So many thousands of CG's!
