Don't know what tires came on your trailer, but if they are the standard issue ST BlowMax******get rid of them ASAP. I had one shed its tread after only 5 months from new doing $1,500 in damage.
Get a good LT G rated tire.
PS, congrats on your purchase. We love ours
I will give them a couple years. I worked in the tire industry, so i know what kinda stories are out there. Does make me a bit nervous.. But im not willing to pull 6 new load range E tires to replace them just in case.. I have insurance. I really hope this doesnt bite me in the ass.
I felt the same as you. Swore I'd get my money's worth out of 'em. Checked pressures multiple times a trip. Would even use an infrared thermometer to monitor operating temps. Then 5 months into it, pulled out of a camping area, got 5 miles down the road and one of those lovely BlowMax %$#(*& decided it didn't want it's tread anymore.
Do it now, or do it after. Wish I would have made Discount Tire my first stop after leaving the dealership.
You won't get a couple of years out of them. Not with the weight of that trailer and the quality of those tires.
