I felt the same as you. Swore I'd get my money's worth out of them. Checked pressures multiple times a trip.
I have the Blow max on 3 car trailers , 2 boat trailers & asst other trailers with no problem. So when I purchased my toyhauler and it had the Blowmax on it I felt the same way that I was going to get some use out of them . I had read all about the stories how they blow up but never had any problems with them on my other trailers.
First time out when I pulled into where i was going someone walked up to me and said did you see your tire ?? One of the tires was seperating , so i put the spare on and when i got home went to the tire shop and they gave me a new tire for free so i thought eveything was fine. WRONG . I had 5 more seperate with in one year and was lucky to catch them before they blew up but have since replace them not wanting to take any more chances.
From what i have been told by the local tire dealer is that the Blowmax is fine on lighter trailers but he has seen nothing but problems with them on larger trailers.
The way I see it is that "Lyrikz" doesn't agree with anything else anyone has tried to tell him so he will just hve to find things out for himself !!! To Bad !!
Not that i dont agree, i just cant afford to buy a new set of tires. Id love to. Pay now or pay more later is a good saying i heard once. Very sketchy to think this things will be on my trailer....
But after buying the trailer, and buying tires for my truck. MY NEW trailer tires arent going anywhere any time soon. Once again after reading these testimonies, i dont think i will push anything over one year, i think next year i will put a new set on with my tax return.
I do appreciate the advice and im sure you can understand why i wouldnt immediately replace them. I will though.
