Pickup bed step
What kind of step do you use to access the front of you pickup bed and to hook up your 5th wheel

- One foot on the rear wheel, throw the other leg over the rail.
- Our setup doesn't require a step to access the hitch. When I want to get into the truck bed, I step up on the rear bumper area near the license plate - but not when hooked up.
- I have running boards mounted on the truck.
I do use a small step ladder to climb up into the pickup bed when I need to. - I have a plastic two-step that works nicely for that purpose.
- DH always had an aluminum 3 step ladder he kept in the bed of truck. In the eight years we had fifth wheel no one ever messed with it and it was not locked up either.
