Pickup driver caught after cops find him hauling 53? trailer

I wonder if the driver could have gotten away with it if he used a farm tractor as the tow vehicle?

Wow..just wow. Why would you go thru the trouble of rigging an air tank and that "hitch" when you could have hired someone to move the trailer? I bet the fines are more than paying a legit OTR owner/operator.

The traffic stop was in Canada. It didn't say what charges were filed.
A different article said the driver was charged for an oversize load violation.

With air bags he would have been good to go IMO!
