Three trips ago I replaced my solid pinbox with a Mor-Ryde pinbox for severe chucking concern's. On all but the worst overpass expansion joint's the improvement is dramatic. We have a DRW truck running 80psi in the front tires and 65psi in the rear wheels and 40 psi in Firestone airbags. The airbags have always controlled the vertical shock's and now I can definitely say the Mor-Ryde pinbox cushions the horizontal forward/aft motion shock.
If I were to buy a new truck I would invest in a Trailer Saver TS3 hitch but still likely have a Mor-Ryde pinbox
Is your RAW around 9,750# ? If not that much you should reduce accordingly. Also 40psi loaded is a bit much from my experience running 4,500# pin weight on my 11 DRW RAM. The 30psi did not raise the ride is just helped with rebound along with Bilsteins. Truck sat level without bags and the same with 30psi. Ride improvement from both mods was impressive.
