I'm typically 50-60 lbs with a 2800 lb pin.
I don't run it up to the top of the arrow. Why keep it at the top of the stroke, I like to keep the shock in mid stroke and watch it float behind me.
I found it's also a good tool for the correct trailer brake gain, when it's right the shock absorber will neither compress or extend during braking.
