Currently have a Trailair pin box on my trailer. Not 100% satisfied with it. I am having chucking issues. Have since the trailer was new. This is my second trailer with a Trailair so I am very familiar with them. My last one was a tri Glide and it worked well.I recently acquired a Moryde pin box that will fit my trailer. I've never towed with one before. Will it be worth my time to swap them out and try it? Would like to hear from those that have had both. B.O.

Correct me if I am wrong ,but isn't Trailair more for just cushioning the ride, not much to do with chucking fore ,and aft . IMO it would be well worth your time to switch out. I have never experienced chucking, but it seems to be an issue Hopefully you don't have the Curt hitch, you will get an ear full if you do .:BI currently tow with a MorRyde, and its smooth, but I had two previous fifth wheels with conventional pin boxes ,and they towed equally well . IMO from everything I have read, if you got chucking its just the combination of truck ,and trailer. I am sure some will say differently , but what I understand anything you do more or less masked the chucking, thats where the Morryde comes into play. Whatever the solution , this should be an interesting thread, and I pretty much know whats coming. Just curious what hitch do you have ??

Best hitch I've ever used and I've had a few. I agree I should at least try the MorRyde. It's sitting on a dolly in my garage and my trailer is half way to TX. It will be next Spring project. not doing me any good not being used.B.O.

I haven’t had both but I have been without the TrailAir and then added it, I was less than impressed with it from a ride perspective. As highly as it was touted, I expected more out of it.Since you have the MorRyde and it’s not super hard to swap it out, doesn’t hurt to try.

From what I have read it’s the single most effective way to help with chucking.

I see you have a DRW, what is your loaded rear axle weight and what air pressure are you running?Do you have all your loaded axle weights and unloaded weights? If so please post, if not I highly suggest doing so.I have had the TrailAir airbag pin box on my 07.5 DRV at 18-19k. No real chucking issues other than the un avoidable overpass thingy. I even added the TriGlide and I can't say it did much.Also what hitch are you using?

Thanks just thought I would get some ideas on air pressure in the trailair maybe the information gets stale after a year....lol but seriously is there a time limit on threads and information asking for a friend?

I run 100# and that does not bring it up to the arrow. I only have 6k pin.....

Running max air for no reason is beating up your trailer for no reason as 12V98 writes, especially on duallys. Airing to weight allows the entire unit to ride softer and cures some of the issues mentioned here. Another point to consider, which balloon is easier to pop, the softer one or the one bursting at the seams?
It's funny that this post popped up from almost a year ago. I've been researching which pin box to buy, now I know it's a Morryde. I let the Trailair I had go with the Jayco we sold earlier this year and the Blue Ridge we bought still has the factory pin box on it.

How much air pressure do you run in your trail air? I find that 40 lbs works good for me I have not found a minimum. Airing up to the arrows 65 lbs is just to stiff anyone else in that neighborhood?
