Possible 4 season 5ers and minimum requirements?

I thought we found something that we could live in for a while, a 2011 Wildcat, but the brochure does not list a heated underbelly, and it only has 30 amp service (1 A/C). So now, the search is back on again, to find something more suitable for year-round temps.

I have read that heavier trailers are more suited, so I guess we need to upgrade. Would a 2014 High Country model be more suited to 4 season than a Wildcat? What about a 2009 Carriage Cameo?

Second question...what are some of the minimum requirements for 4 season living in the South?

I am assuming that a heated underbelly is important, since it does get below freezing at times. And a 50 amp w/2nd A/C?
  • Actually...I should have mentioned...we would like to travel with it at times to colder climates to enjoy the snow in winter as well.
  • In the south? Just about any RV would work OK. For the very few days a year you get cold temps just go for it. Now, if you really want a good RV for full timing, start looking at Teton, Mobile Suites and the like. 50A will allow you to use 2 AC units at the same time, plus other stuff.
