Power cord 30 amp melting!

I replaced the power cord end with a plastic one a few months ago and I noticed today that its melted so bad the plugs are loose. I removed it and I was surprised how bad it was. Is it normal for these plugs to get that hot.The cord was pulling the plug in the receptacle so that may have heated up the box and caused it to melt?

Anyone had this problem before?
