Power Cord Question

We have made the transition from 2008 Silverback Bunkhouse to a 2016 Cedar Creek 36CKTS. With this, we've moved from 30A to 50A. I am thinking of purchasing

this

after seeing the strain on the power cord.

In addition, I'm looking at a 50A four prong female to 30A three prong male adaptor. I'd like one that has a spinning component (is that called locking?) so that it seals the rain out, but I'm struggling to find one.

Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks for your help!
Brian

  • Yes, because RV's are made of cardboard and other weak materials.

Is strain really a problem long term?

  • Yes, that will or should allow you to plug your existing twist lock into the 90 degree adapter to remove much of the strain.
    This should be your adapter,
    50-30 adapter
  • Struggling to find one cause your 50A cord has a standard 4 prong male plug
