I called them last year when I was looking to change mine, I spoke to 2 different people, They told me to use ceramic.. Here is the response from a guy name Jesse-
Question- are ceramic pads better for HD application?
Answer -
"Yes, You will not have the squealing when you hit the brakes, Less brake dust.
I think the automotive is going to Ceramic as well.
They use more brass in Ceramic and less Carbon steel in the pad material..
We changed over to all Ceramic about 4 ½ years ago.
