Looking at a couple of haulers forums shows semi metallics much preferred over ceramics. Less brake fade when coming down those long down hill runs.
Looking around the net at the pros and cons what stands out is the ceramics are quieter/less dustwork better for light weight use and semi metallics work best for heavy duty use.
For my trucks I'm not concerned with dust or noise but best long term braking performance
