Prescott Camping n riding

Can someone share where to camp on state or blm land near Prescott, AZ with good riding trails and good pine coverage? We'll have a tent guest with us with their kids.

Thanks,
Gary

Ps. Camp Wood is off the table for this trip.
  • Good info. Trying to stay away from the parks with the noise enforcement aka quiet time. I'll try the dispersed camping areas.

Are you into all night parties?

We'll I certainly don't like to shut the party down at 10p! Laughing around the camp fire, some good music playing, watching the rides from the day on the GoPro...sadly these things tend to tick others off to the point they complain we are "loud". Meanwhile, I can usually hear their TV volume at 200.
  • On 89 n of Prescott after Pauldon the NF picks up again. We have gone to the east on some of the FS roads far in enough to be away from Hi-Way noise. It is low brush ,and junipers, and plenty of spots to set up.From there you can ride to Jerome,Williams,White Horse lake,Perkinsville. The more you go north the more pines, but if you are on the S side of the Verde you gotta go over at Perkinsville. The north side is apparant after the CE-Mex plant off to the east of 89.Lots of great fun rides in area.
