Problem with warranty parts

does anyone have any experience with Forrest River and getting warranty parts? My 2013 Sandpiper has been at the dealers now 3 weeks waiting on a rear stabilizer motor. I have tried to get hold of someone at Forrest River and I can't find any way to get through.

Anyone have any advise? or a way to contact them and get a live person to deal with?

  • Had a similar problem with a CrossRoads product last year - 3 weeks to get a new motor. Hard to believe - warranty and had to come from Lippert.
  • Find out who manufactures your motor, Lippert etc. and contact their support center directly. The warranty is most likely through them rather than Forest River. Warranties on RV's are not like those on cars. Each component is warranted by its manufacture rather than the RV manufacture itself. I had the same issue on brake components on my 5'er. Contacted Lippert directly who resolved it quickly. Not sure why they were not getting back to my dealer promptly.
  • Your dealer certainly has the contact information. Call them and see how to reach Forest River. Most likely, the motor is a Lippert part anyway so they may be waiting to get it from them to send to you. Find out from your dealer where the order is at in the process and ask them for the contact info to help speed things along.
  • Try posting the question on the Forest River Owners Group website. I'm sure someone will have a ready answer.
